Last night wasn’t too bad. I went to bed around 12:30AM and then woke up at 5:00AM from coughing, throat was dry, etc. I went to check for messages on my comp from my boss, there was none; but then I noticed my download was done. So I went to lay back in bed, and I couldn’t fall asleep because I wanted to watch this documentary I downloaded.

So, at about 6:00AM I made a load of tea (that I would need for the day, as I also had work to do) and started to watch The Dudesons. Pretty funny I must say, and even though it is more extreme than Jackass, I must admit that Jackass entertained me a lot more. I would rate The Dudesons about 8/10. Great stunts, great footage, and it actually had some plot to it. I like how they introduced all the characters.

I phoned up TELUS today, to ask about some questions on my $430 phone bill for my land line. Basically what happened was someone came into my office at home and used my phone to dial four 1-900 numbers. Here is how it looks on my invoice:

Now remember, this is my business line. I said to her “Look at the rest of my bill, 90% of it is long distance to my clients, as I work from home, no one would have dialed these numbers from my phone, it just wouldn’t happen.” Then she said “Well sir although I believe you, in our system it does say that these numbers have been dialed, they were not a mis-charge or anything like that.” So I replied “Fair enough, but if I DID make the calls, for $50.00 I would have been on there a lot longer than a minute, you know what I’m sayin’? I ain’t no one minute man here!”

She then burst out laughing and I think dropped her headset, and she comes back, crying from laughing “Ohh Mark, I was having an awful day and that just made the rest of my week, it’s nice clients like you that I like having my job.” I said “I’m glad I could be of assistance, how else may I assist you today?” - She laughs again “Okay Mark, I have removed the $200 from your account, and blocked all 1-900 numbers from being dialed on that line. However, I do have to send them to LIVECHAT so in 6-8 months you may get a bill for $200 if they feel you did infact make the calls, but until then it has been removed from your account, and will no longer show with TELUS.”

At this point I’m just so glad, I didn’t save money cause now it has to go to bills, but at least it’s not going to a bogus phone charge! I told my room mate before he left for work that I was going to call, and see what the hell was up with a $200 charge. He said “Don’t even bother man, they won’t care.” - He came home, I told him the story, and he’s like “Seriously!? Jesus I don’t believe it.”
