Review of Reign Over Me
How do you live your life, when you’ve lost it all?
Adam Sandler has his second serious drama in his acting career, accompanied by Don Cheadle in this instant classic. A man, raised by his aunt and uncle, loses his wife and three daughters in 9/11. His life 5 years later is a completely different person. A once proud father and Doctor, now has the mind-set of a teenager. Choosing to forget what has happened, his mind suffers post dramatic stress disorder.
Don Cheadle’s character was his college roommate, and decides to show Charlie that there is more to life, and that it’s not the end.
This movie moved me at the same level Crash did. I would put this up there with that movie. Adam Sandler does a fantastic job. Putting his name on the map with a role like this was great to see. I recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of a good drama.
The trailer doesn’t really give the movie justice, on how powerful it is, but you get to see a glimpse.
Below is the official song to the movie, but just the song. Someone just put in random images for this video. I couldn’t find an actual video for the song.
