Downtime for SecondLife 1.15.0 (April 25, 2007)

We’re planning for scheduled downtime on Wednesday, April 25 from 6 AM-12 PM PDT for a new Second Life release. A viewer update will be required.

This brings us to version 1.15.0; please give it a try on the Beta Test Grid. See Josh’s earlier post at http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/04/17/preview-of-second-life-1150-now-up-on-the-beta-test-grid/ for details of what’s changed.

As we continue to improve the Second Life experience, we’ll keep you updated.

On another note, reading CNN today I found many interesting things I did not know about SL. There are now college classes being taught via SL so people don’t have to leave their dorm rooms, and can still ‘interact’ with the class. Also, a player bought up land and all the assets for roughly $300,000US – Turned a profit of over $1,000,000. This… game? Is truely becoming huge.
