Virginia Tech & Some From Me

Okay, now that I am home and have some time, I sha’ll make a real post.

First of all I think I should post some public questions about this Virginia Tech shooting. When I heard the news I was suprised. All I thought was “Another school shooting!?” – On a coffee break someone told me that it is LEGAL to carry a side arm in Virginia, and you can even have it consealed. That shocked me. I knew groups like the NRA try and try again to legalize certain weapons; but I had no idea Virginia said Yes. It’s really sad to see this kind of thing go on.

Has anyone heard anything for a motive? Columbine was the ‘trench coat mafia’ and that’s when the whole ‘gaming hurts your children’ issues came into the news. But what about this lone Chinese student? Lot’s of questions that will probably go unanswered for quite sometime.

Well, on another note. Work is going well. It’s very busy and a lot to learn. You have to rush, rush, rush; but also not make any mistakes. Nothing like mistinting a $500 order, they paint the entire house and turns out the color is off by a bit. Then you’re really screwed. But yea, I’m slowly learning; a lot of people willing to help. The training is slow at the moment, like once a week we sit down for 6 hours and get taught stuff. So the other 4 or 5 days I’m on the floor doing my best to help people.

Ontop of that I am building furniture again for my dad’s engineering firm. So yesterday if you add it up, I worked like 13 hours. And starting in about a week, I’ll have a third job. Maybe I have taken on too much hehe.

When I do have some free time, I’m playing SecondLife. People ask me how I play it when you don’t really do much. But I go buy stuff, go to the PvP zones, enter contests to win free money, etc. And I play in the online Casino! Win in game money which you can then sell legally for cash. I put down $5.00 on Black the other day, won $10.00. Can just cash out and it goes right onto your credit card. It’s pretty neat.
