Review of K-PAX

I’m just busting out the reviews lately. Got hold of some of my favorite movies, so I just have to blog about ‘em!

This movie, more Drama then Sci-Fi; is great. A lone visitor named Prot (Kevin Spacey) visits the planet Earth only to find himself in a psychiatric ward. Through many conversations, flash backs, and aids, Prot makes you believe that he is indeed an Alien. Very nice twist at the end, will make you think a bit, and want to ask more questions.

I first saw this movie I believe in theaters with my Ex. Kevin Spacey is my favorite actor, so I immediately had to jump on this flick. Plus again, it had the Sci-Fi theme a bit. This movie I really enjoyed because of what it brought for me. Astronomy is a field I would love to get into, however I am the worst person at mathematics, ever. Lots of that in this movie, some interesting theories and once again, mankind laughing at the fact that there good be intelligent life out there.

Prot says that, we can travel at the speed of light, and faster. Einstein says that we cannot, or did he? Einstein said that nothing can accelerate to the speed of light because its mass would become infinite. He said nothing about entities already traveling at the speed of light or faster. I believe whats called Tachyon speeds, in various multiples of C. cDK is the energy density of the beams or something, from these Tachyon speeds. If you want to look up “Tachyon speeds cDK” you will find lots of interesting articles about wormhole travel.

Anyways, its all very intriguing stuff. The end like I said is a nice twist, it sheds some light onto the whole Alien thing, but then makes you think again. Check it out!

Oh, on another note. This movie also has a fantastic soundtrack, many clips I used samples of to build Flash movies back in the day for my personal webpages, brilliant stuff. You may also view this post to read about my old site, and hear a sample.

Also, check out my new gift for myself. Bought this morning.
