Theories: Nostradamus and Mayan Culture
Nostradamus and the Mayan’s have the same date scribed from years ago, the same date and same predictions regarding the fate of mankind. So far, people say Nostradamus has not been wrong, even forseeing the events of 9/11 entitiled ‘The City of God’

In 1654, Nastrodamus also predicted a date of December 12, 2012. The day the Earth will succumb. The day the sun will come out from the clouds. Meaning to me, something to do with bombs, and lots of them. Technically atomic or bionuclear weapons, since they can cover the sun and with the bright light, mimic. The Mayans also predicted the same date, with the same effect. However the prophecy says nothing about anything to do with us detroying outselves (although its most likely the outcome) – Instead, it fortells of a comet, the size of our coming around our galaxy and swinging back out from the gravity swing loop affect. The problem is, it comes right next to Earth and is the size of our sun. And I mean right next to us. A few links are at the end of this article which you can view and theorize for yourself.
Now for someone who said all this stuff over 500 years ago, and has yet to be proven wrong, do you think the end is within 6 years? Comments welcome…

I just watched one of Discovery Channel’s Unsolved Mysteries on Nostrodamus. Very good 50 mins of DVD, has some very compelling arguments from both sides. His supporters, and people who think he is as one professor says ‘hog wash’.

Frank’s comment is correct; Nostradamus never said those words. Mayan’s say 12/21/12. Besides in regard to the false Nostradamus quote…New York is no city of God and Bush did not succumb to anything.
1st Linda you are wrong about Bush not succumbing, he fell at the feet of the “Oil Cartel”.
2nd Nostradamus gets credit ‘after’ an event happens, I have yet to see anyone read a quote from Nostradamus and foretell the future.
3rd The Mayan predict basically the same thing the Bible does, in that there will be a battle of Good vs Evil, beginning 12/21/12 or 13.0.0.0.0 long count, the Bible only says that a battle will be fought but does not put a specific date on it.

What Jake says of course is absolutely correct.It’s always after an event that people then fit his writings around it.I believe that Nostradamus was a political genius and a religious scholar and by combining the two could reasonably predict general world events.Combine say Chomsky with the Pope and students of geopolitics and you could pretty much predict the future.As for 21st.Dec. 2012 being the end of the world,well,we’ll soon see won’t we?
It is true that its always after an event that Nostradamus is ‘proven’ to have fortold the future, however at first we would not have known that he might have those sort of capabilities…. you dont just think “oh that guy could foretell the future”! but when things started to happen that tied in with what nostradamus was saying, that was when we started to look into things more, for example, we have predicted the “end of the world” december 21st 2012 from nostradamus, however i dont think this discussion will really matter if nostradamus is true, as we’ll all be dead. we wouldnt need to debate his work then!
We’ll find out soon enough i suppose, but one thing i read somewhere that it would not be the “END” of the world, but possibly the end of the religious world etc.
Where the nuclear bombs are coming from i dont know, (“the sun will come out from the clouds”) there is a massive comet heading towards us right now, due to hit us, not pass us by, in 2012. this is where “the sun will come out from the clouds” comes from.
The comet can be proven, unlike nostradamus. Check out NASAs website, however NASA call this comet planet “planet x” whereas i think it was nostradamus that called it “nibiru” there are a couple of other names for the planet too.
So, we have two different predictions from two well known sources that say something big will happen in 2012. I will agree that something will happen in the near future, although I would like to put a new spin on this.
Gas prices have hit a new record high and won’t be going down anytime soon. What happens when people making $7.00 per hour are suddenly forced to pay 8 or 9 dollers for a gallon of gas? Believe me it will happen. Just look at some of the commercials on T.V. showing people in other countries paying that much. Their just getting you used to the idea.
The awnser is, they won’t be able to afford to go to work. Now ask yourself what happens when a good portion of the population can’t afford to go to work.
Well I don’t think a comet will hit, or earthquakes will destroy the planet, but a serious war, riots in the streets, the highest crime rate in history are all real possibilites.
Nostrodamus also made a prediction of people eating other people to survive. What you have to remember is when gas prices go up everything else goes up. So instead of going to the store and paying $1.50 for a loaf of bread you will be paying up to 10X that much. I don’t know about you but I have a family and in no way could afford that.
Here is my advice, stock up on ammo, because if any of these predictions are correct you don’t want to be the one without it.

Being an astrologer, Nostradamus would have known of the 13th and secret Zodiac sign. Known as Ophilius. Located between Sagittarius and Scorpio in what is called the dark rift. Or the galactic equator. The Mayans Calendar ends, or begins, when our sun lines up with this galactic equator. creating a big cross in the sky. the cross referred to by some religions marking the apocalypse.

I believe that nostradamus isn’t right. The thought definently scares me but I believe that it is up to us to think about what WE want. Do we want the world to end? No. We need to think about what WE want to happen and if you believe it, it will happen. But I do believe that something good will happen in 2012 like people becoming more aware of global warming and our environment needs. That’s the way I’m going to think and that’s the way YOU should think too.
I also understood that he predicted that the great “Religious Powers” would crumble in 2012. Most people follow science and academia now and religion is becoming less popular in some parts of the world. I really don’t want another World War.

I gotta say that I am not going to ignor this and either a huge war is going to happen or something to do with religeon will happpen or our ozone will completely vanish and the sun will burn us to a crisp all I know is that something will happen eventually and hopefully nothing will happen and we will all stop and look around one time and we will notice what we are doing to ourselves and we can fix it by doing something national and we can influence the world to do the same
I think Gaia, the real life of earth will take her world back from the stupid, evil humans on 2012. We get what we deserve.

he wrote this a day before he died…he could have been a little knock up maybe, we dont know exactly how he died, he coulda been on drugs or some shit like that

He died in the year 1566, wherever u got the information about the 9/11 in the year 1654.. How the hell did he do rise from his dead. Even the dec 12 2012, he didn’t predict the world ending, someone made it up using his birthdate and confused it with the Mayan’s prediction of the end of the world in 2012.
Nostradamus predicted the world to end in 3797.
Nostradamus has predicted World War 3 to occur from 2008 to 2012, but what I think is that it has been confused to be WW3, the prediction was for the downfall of the economy in 2008. It will be over in 2012, and it would be the Golden age after that.
