What A Week

This has been a pretty stressful week for me. Work has been long, and stuff has gone wrong, one day I worked 14 hours and I don’t get overtime, was down to my last couple bucks before I got paid, etc.

Then today, my graphics card went boom. Here is what it looked like on my end – I went out and bought an ATI Radeon 1600X 512MB. I’m still on AGP so it wasn’t that expensive. Was $200 with tax, 512MB on PCI-E would be like $600. PCI-E is faster but, anyways. That’s neither here nor there, nor anywhere.

Hopefully this will work for a few years, or until I sell this rig and upgrade. Looks great in EVE Online!

Tomorrow I need to go to the college around 10:00AM for a few hours to get an overview on what exactly this course I am interested in is all about, meet the instructors, etc. After that I have a lunch meeting, then I need to come home and do a few hours of work. And no, I don’t have the weekend off. I got a 2nd job building furniture at an engineering firm, I’ve done it before but I get wicked blisters. Great pay though, and I really need the money. So I got about 5 hours on Saturday and 5 hours on Sunday, then back to full-time contract work on Monday – Oh well, we’ve got to do what we’ve got to do right? Whatever pays the bills.
